How is Miller Buckfire doing?
So I'm aware that it used to be pretty good but has recently fallen off and isn't as strong of a group anymore. A lot of the posts on here about Miller Buckfire are outdated so I'm trying to get a more up to date picture of the place. If anyone could talk about how strong their deal flow is, the types of mandates they get, culture, comp, exits, reputation, and any other relevant things I would appreciate it a ton.
Legacy brand but seems like their deal flow and great exits are in the past. According to their site the only public transaction they’ve closed in the past year or so is a $30m recap. Talked to an analyst a couple times and he was referencing deals that had been done 2+ years ago. Seems like a sweatshop where 90% of your work will be pitching. Credit focused exits seem alright but likely pretty pigeonholed here
