How is the scene in Switzerland?
Afaik, St Gallen is the target and analysts are getting paid CHF 120k+ per annum. Is it really true? Also how is the HF or PE scene in Switzerland and do people relocate to NY after working the junior years in Switzerland?
Base salary is usually 125-140k. Total comp 150-160k for an1. However there are very few spots as people don’t tend to exit asap as they have a comfortable position
Worth mentioning that the cost of living is pretty high therefore the higher salaries, but for sure a good place to be from what I heard.
ah, but when we compare costs with NYC, it turns out that Zurich is cheaper (by ~16%, including rent).
Yeah ofc , but for Europe overall Switzerland is quite the expensive destination.
Post-tax post-CoL Switzerland is probably the best deal for AN1 worldwide (maybe Dubai is better). Progression is slower but in Europe since the UK has come down quite a bit it is now a much better deal at every level, except maybe if you are a superstar MDs etc. (massive tail outcomes)
oh, what does the salary progression look like? and any idea about private banking comp?
