How many chats total vs. quality chats did you have by the time you landed you offer?

For everyone recruiting right now, I think it might be helpful to know how many chats usually make a successful recruiting process. Of course, quality matters more than anything, but knowing the proportiong of "quality chats", how many did you guys end up having before landing your offer? Would also be helpful to know when you began your networking journey, when you eventually landed your offer, and ultimately any insight into the amount of chats your peers at your targets had in comparison to your process.

Is this true? Only 1 chat can get you an interview? I had a really good chat with one associate who told me he'd vouch for me on the tracker, should I stop chatting that EB atp?

Started in October and have around 80 chats so far. Out of 80 I probably had around 50-60 good chats - it was rough in the beginning, but you want to keep it as casual as possible and really need to see the person’s vibe. Had a couple of referrals today from an MM, but really comes down to luck and if they’re currently recruiting.

Maybe by city would be helpful as well. Could also be good to know if there were any shared interests (football, travel, etc.) between the two parties as well. What was the duration of each call? Initial outreach: LinkedIn or email? Could be important… percent of the call dedicated to small talk vs. talking business? What day of the week was the call? Time? Moon phase?

Probably 75+ on the MBA front. Some banks want you to do like 12 chats before the interview which is nuts... i.e Barclays... some places will interview after one or two chats. Horrible experience so good luck and god speed.

Try to talk to everyone you can who you think can vouch for you to get an interview at the places you want. Most won’t respond anyway. Of those who take your call, you’ll probably have 75% “really good” chats
