I have blocked 215 people so far....and counting for various different reasons or no reason at all..

I have deleted my Linkedin profile. was easier than blocking all the spammers and sales people.
Damn - I thought I was the only one to delete it. No one hits me up though (cue the violins.) I just got tired of seeing all the virtue signaling.
on average I had
- 5 book sales people per month (like wtf, who cares what eguide or book you have self published)
- 2 recruitment consultants per week (not for me, they want to ask whether I have anyone to recruit)
- at least 1 message per week from random people who I have never met, mostly from India with some cryptic name
- then, of course, tons of messages from LinkedIn to join their premium plan so my life can finally improve. yeah, right.
Just Bridget Hyacin or whoever tf it is “Agree?????!!!!”

You don’t have to block them if you never add them to begin with.
Highly recommend just only being connections with people you know. I occasionally accept an invite from a recruiter if I think they could help me in the future but for the most part if we haven’t spoken for then you’re getting declined. Don’t get much spam at all

Mark Ross is incredibly cringey I agree all his gay made up stories always clog my feed. I think LinkedIn has the worst “influencers” by far truly a site where only the most pretentious people gather.
