How Much Do Banks Care About Credit Reports During Hiring?
Hi all — I’m currently working at a smaller investment bank and recently accepted an offer to move to a larger platform. I’m now going through the standard background and credit screening.
One thing I’m concerned about is my credit history. My score is low due to collections (hardships & personal things). Nothing else major on my record.
For those familiar with the process, how closely do banks look at credit issues when it comes to hires? Any insight into what typically matters (or doesn’t) during these checks would be really helpful.
