How often are bullshit compliance trainings and exercises in IB

Hello guys. I have recently been very frustrated with the amount of trainings, exercises, HR and general admin simulations I have to put up with in my current role. I am currently in big 4 audit and have a chance to join a regional bank in their analyst program and I am wondering if these kinds of trainings are common in IB as well because it is really starting to impact my job and even my mental health.

I get at least 3-5 emails per week regarding a new session or training or update to a policy or compliance training I have to be a part of. And while 3 might not sound like a lot, I have to say ALL these trainings are extremely time consuming. What inspired this post was last night i got a call from HR saying i need to fill a google form from an IFRS training they just uploaded online. I clicked on the link and I kid you not it was a 9 hour video. I had to beg a fellow associate to share their essay length answers with me because there is no way I am watching that.

It has gotten to the point that i cannot do my job without constant emails pulling me away and my colleagues who ignored a training on bullying recently were sanctioned by the firm so I know they are watching. I genuinely think my firm has gotten carried away with the trainings and I want to put in my notice to join the bank I mentioned above once background checks are carried out.

So  I am curious to know how many compliance trainings bankers have to put up with. Thanks in advance.

I believe you have to do certain sessions once a year (honesty, theft, etc), other training is more frequent.
We had a guy ignore all these emails and... he was suspended from his job. He needed MD and HR Director approval to get back into work after he did all the online things. His boss was super annoyed.
