Maybe once every other week if the dress code is typically business casual?
Most of the analysts don't even wear ties to work (usually just slacks and dress shirts) where I'll be summering, and I was wondering if it's even worth it to buy another suit (I have one already that doesn't fit that great) for the summer or wait until FT.

Depends on where you work and, moreover, what the culture of the group is. BarCap and Lazard are pretty business formal. Other places are business casual. At the business casual places, just make sure you keep a jacket and tie at work for anything client facing.

Lazard, Morgan Stanley, and Perella are suit and tie. BLAM!, UBS, JPM and a few of the mega banks are bizcasual. so pick your poison.
But at bizcasual banks, I should be fine as long as I just have a jacket and tie at my desk right? Or will there be certain days where I know I'll be in a meeting with a client and will have to wear a suit to work?
Not if the jacket you have at your desk doesn't match the pants you are wearing (it probably won't).
So what is your advice here? I'm also at a bit of a loss on how to cope with this problem

Just buy a armoire for hanging clothes and bring it into work on your first day
I work at a bizcasual BB and knew when I had client stuff ahead of time, so I just wore a suit into work that day.
