Different for everybody depending on climate, how many hours you work and how much you sweat.

Generally though, I would be hard pressed to wear a shirt more than twice (once in the summer assuming no undershirt). I mostly wear white shirts so the discoloration around the neck shows up pretty quick. Don't be the guy with the scrubby looking shirts. Pants you can get away with multiple wears.

Personally get machine-washable shirts and wash and press the worn ones weekly

You should never get your shirts dry cleaned, the chemicals are terrible for the fabric and the shirt will worn out way faster. Always have them laundered (in NYC, it's the default option, but I have noticed that not all dry cleaners offer the option elsewhere and you have to specify) or wash them yourselves (although I wouldn't recommend using those top-loading coin-operated machines most rental buildings have).

I could definitely get 2 or even 3 wear out of my shirts outside of summer, but for some reason it grosses me out to wear a shirt I already wore for an entire day (I never wear undershirt) so I end up washing them every time. I have a good front-loading machine so hardly any wear on the shirts. I dry clean my suit once a year (I usually bring them all in at some point in the spring)

I don't like undershirts either, especially in NYC summer. Sweat sucks but be careful, AC'd, and go commando all day.

Depends, majority of mine I just wash. If I want a light starch then I get them laundered. Ultimately, they get cleaned when I see the slightest bit of filth. Normally 1-2 wears. Have enough shirts to get down half way then clean.
