How serious are mistakes sent to potential buyers?
I just noticed a big typo in the CIMs I sent 2 days ago to strategic and financial buyers (cash flow analysis with wrong items and amounts). I have sent like 20+ documents, all with that same error. How fucked am I?
Those are pretty significant errors.
Yikes

Text typos are fine...number typos can get you in big trouble
Just blame your analyst ;)))
You need to raise this with your team right away.
Text typos are whatever but this sounds like a material issue. Flag to your team ASAP.
Google Tesla/Solar City for what happens here if you don't raise it... the advisor double-counted debt and overvalued the company by $400M. Turned into a whole lawsuit
I know it can be nerve wracking to even start to think about raising this issue, but as others have said, the sooner you raise it the better.
Not only for mitigation of potential liabilities, but also for your team / firm to put together a somewhat euphemistic narrative as to why it might have happened proactively, at the very least.
