How to get into DCM from BB Ops
Hi everyone, I worked for 2 years at a BB in Europe within corporate banking operations (Cash Operations / Payments). I would like to get into DCM but I found it quite difficult to make the move.
Now I'm starting a MSc in Financial Economics thinking that an education focused on Macro and Finance would be beneficial.
I interviewed for a Fixed Income Credit Sales summer internship at a relatively big bank but I got rejected after the second round due to lack of front desk experience. The fact that I got interviewed in the first place tells me that there is something we can work on.
How would you go on about? What internships do you think I should be focusing on? Anything that I could do on top of my studies to be the best candidate for the next recruiting season?
