How To: Hand-Written Notes

Hi all -

Have heard about the benefits of hand-writing thank you notes. Wanted to know the process of delivering the notes. Particularly, if you needed to receive mail (i.e., letter) at your office, how would you have it delivered and how might a prospect do the same? For GS NY, would it be:

Joe Doe

200 West St

New York, NY 10282

I assume there's more info needed. And the above is under the assumption that you'd be delivering it via postal service (unsure if that's best way). Would appreciate if anyone could fill that in.

Any stories about some of the pros/cons of hand-writing thank you notes (e.g., for job interview, networking call, etc.) are welcomed.

Typically suite number or floor. You can first class it so you get a tracking number and it arrives quicker.

Also, do you literally mean writing it by hand, or typing it on MS and printing it.

So, to clarify, address would be:

Joe Doe

200 West St - Floor/Suite #_

New York, NY 10282

Re Q2: which would make the most sense? I was thinking hand-written; typing it might seem weird b/c just email it if you're gunna type it? But would current Analysts just think you're fucking weird if you do hand-write? What about ASO? Think VP/MD is obv targeted 'demographic' for hand-written notes.
