How to make excel charts all the same size and format when actually pasted into PowerPoint
So I recently was trying to make two horizontal charts and also a different slide with three pie charts.
When making the horizontal charts I was tasked with displaying bar graphs for one year for two companies but for some reason when I input them into my slide they come out with different bar widths and difference spaces between each bar.
Also when inputting donut charts the ones previously in the slide were larger than the ones automatically generated by excel so when I dragged the corner to enlarge it , it moved out of spot and I couldn’t align all three where they were exactly in line with each other.
Are there any shortcuts or formatting tricks i should be aware of?
Click on the image itself and then go to format, you should be able to see the size in height and width. Make those the same.
Right click on the graphs and edit the gap width. Make sure all graphs have the same gap width. That should make sure the space between each bar is the same. Do you have a FactSet PP plug in? Typically the bar size and width is a function of how big the frame/picture the graph is in. There's a shapes tool in the FactSet plug in that allows you to copy the sizing and formats of one picture to another. Should be alt+y3+c+c to copy one picture format and then alt+y3+c+a to copy it onto another.
