How to Organize Inbox

An1 about to start ramping up on deals soon as training is winding down. I've never been one to organize my inbox, create folders, stuff like that. I haven't seen this asked before, but does anyone have any recommendations on how to best set up Outlook? How do you all juggle the barrage of emails? Also, what shortcuts should I use for Outlook or where can I find a good list? Do people use shortcuts as frequently as they do in excel? Would love any feedback.

The way I do it is:

- Number the top of folder list for active deals (and any relevant email from meeting accepts to model updates goes in that folder)

- folder for each company that I’ve pitched / done more than just a simple profile for

- folder for all market updates

- folder for subscription / news updates that don’t pertain to my deals or other companies

- folder for marketing emails from VDRs that I might need to reference in the future

- folder for other random stuff I’ll probably never look at again (but don’t delete)

Probably not the best way to do it but it works good enough for me!
