How to quit?

Like when do you tell your analyst manager/team, what should you say, what to consider? How do I do this in the most diplomatic way possible and not cause any unnecessary shock or burn any bridges? Just curious because I’m thinking about quitting soon and want to hear any insight you can give me if you’ve done it before?

Just tell them you enjoyed your experience and learned a lot but another opportunity came up that you couldn't pass up. Generally if the staffer is chill he won't press about it (cause honestly no one cares turnover is so common in banking especially more-so with WFH). Next you'll probably talk to the head of the group/HR just repeat what you said to staffer.

No matter what you say, small minority (MD/Ds) is going to take offense to it (you don't want these people in your life anyways) while vast majority will understand/be supportive.
