How to stay sharp throughout the day?

I can focus for like 3 hours in the morning and like 3 hours after lunch but afterwards I completely become scatterbrained. I've been forgetful recently as well its strange. My eyes blur out a lot too probably since they're strained. How do I stay locked in for the entire day and have energy at the end without caffeine or stims?

When I felt this onset i started consuming high protein snacks, lots of water & chewing gum

snacks kept my stomach full (helps keep me awake ymmv), lots of water (does the same + built in walks to the bathroom), and im fidgety so gum gives me something to do while doing work

feel much more focused throughout the day but gets harder after midnight (duh)

wdym by high protein? as in protein bars? but don't those hurt your stomach/isn't too good for you if you eat too much of them at once? but also thought your tips were helpful!

As a guy who consumes 40-70g of protein in one meal at times, you’ll be fine. High protein as in protein bars, beef jerky. Can get trail mix and nutrigrain bars as well for carbs and fats. Drink a ton and I mean a ton of water during the day. This will make you also get up to goto the bathroom and allow a mini reset and gets blood flowing by walking. Also if you get chipotle/sweetgreen for lunch everyday, take a 5 minute walk about 20-30 mins after eating. This will help fight that “crash” that tends to occur after eating a larger meal.

Furthermore being physically in shape can help. Get a 30-60 workout in 3-4x a week minimum. I get that this isn’t as easy if you are pushing past 80 hours a week, but let’s be real most people are in the 60-70 range on average.

7 hours sleep

Light lunch

Skip breakfast

High protein low carb lunch and dinner

Coffee before 12pm

Attitude of sprinting to finish work so you can create a one hr gap for gym after 7 and in bed by 1230

Edit: regular walking breaks. Walking to work. Walking home from work. 10k steps a day to maintain equilibrium

Quick mid day walk break and lighter lunch have been the keys to me. Used to eat huge lunches and need to fight off falling asleep at my desk around 2pm every day.

I take Vyvanse but turned out I actually had ADHD. Like you could talk to me directly and I would completely not listen tier ADHD.....didn't get diagnosed until recently but really explained a lot...

Have taken both Vyvanse and Adderall as prescribed and found that Vyvanse is far smoother and more like having had a great coffee and good night's sleep but Adderall could be a rollercoaster that made me antisocial and not blink or eat.

This couldn't be more true - I'm prescribed Adderall but take XR Vyv for fun when I need to dial in late nights. In all honesty to each their own, I am a fan of that antisocial, no blinking/eating vibe, get signficantly more work done - the eating sucks though, I have to set alarms as to remind myself. Both very cool and concerning at the same time.

How did you get diagnosed and prescribed? I'm realizing pretty late that I've probably had ADHD most of my life and that it might've been the cause for a lot of issues. I want to get medicated as soon as possible. How did you go about it?
