HSBC IB vs Blackstone Real Estate Capital Markets internship
Which internship would you take? I know HSBC gets a lot of shit in here but it's a front-office role and you probably have more opportunities (lateral/exit). BX is a great name but it's a super niche role. Not really sure how easy it is to go from this CM role to direct investing in RE.
BX role much more useful on the CV and you will be exposed to more interesting concepts tbh, even in capital markets. I consider it akin to debt advisory, which is classed as an IB product
HSBC IB is absolute retard bitch work tier 3 bank
Seriously don't be retarded. Take BX and don't even bother looking at HSBC. BX is the better learning opportunity and the better name on a resume and you will likely be able to get IB / other strong buyside opps just bcoz of it. HSBC, on the other hand....
Bro is this guy kidding? 😆

Blackstone
wtf, take BX without a shred of a doubt. As said above it has similarities with debt advisory, you also get the best brand name in finance on your resume and you could have some cool exit opps down the road (think Private Credit). A career in BX CM would also be much more profitable than HSBC IB.
I work at HSBC.
Take BX
