HSBC UK have delayed July graduate programmes until October
HSBC have delayed their UK start dates from July until October - my girlfriend who is starting on the graduate programme got an email. I don't have any info on summer interns though
any idea on US? any other banks doing the same ?
Hsbc also delayed it in the US and in all countries they do graduate programs

The programme got canceled in Taiwan before the final assessment. So frustrating...
cancelled in HK as well. they also notified candidate currently in the interview process that "you may choose to continue the process but we cannot offer you a position for the 2020 program"
Any ideas about those who have got the offers already?
Yeah got the same email yesterday night. They said they will consider our applications for next year's programme though. Idk whether they will consider us for another SA next year or FT.
This is absolutely terrible, do the graduates get their pay from the start date or did they also postpone that?
they didn't say anything about pay in the initial email, only that further info will follow and that the decision is dependent on ' your willingness to delay and on any further government imposed restrictions' whatever that means
This likely means that everyone can search for other opportunities and that they won't be mad (in that sense).
Doesn't sound like they 100% commit to their graduates ...
Given that they warn early enough I would assume that they won't pay from the start date, as a specific start date has likely not been communicated.
any update on whether if HSBC will the suit of baml/jpm to pay from start date? from above comments seems unlikely

Same with Deutsche Bank, the graduate programm got postponed from middle of July till 1st of October. The 3 months gap wont be compensated...
