Humanities -> Investment Banking

I recognize this is a bit of a foolish question considering there are tons of factors in the investment banking recruitment process, but I am curious about how feasible it is to transition from a humanities bachelor into finance. Two things to note: 1) I am from Canada and; 2) I am planning to get an MBA.

I have an undergraduate degree with a double major in political science and criminology. I also have approximately 3 years of operations management experience at a startup. I am planning to do my MBA to gain some legitimate accreditation and develop my qualitative and quantitative finance abilities. My operations management experience put me in close proximity to the complex internal operations of a business, and I have come to realize that I am much more attracted to finance than I am to management. I would much rather work in a finance-oriented institution, helping clients with financial structuring and expansion.

However, I feel that my humanities background does not necessarily make me the archetypal candidate for an investment banking role. Furthermore, I do not have finance-related experience at the moment.

How can I optimize my recruitment odds? Is there an optimal way to spin the skillset provided by a humanities degree? Do I still have decent odds of getting an internship if I do my MBA at a target school?

Essentially, I am curious about how significant of a disadvantage I have due to my qualitative non-business background. I think my operations experience is relatively rare for a 22-year-old, but I am having a bit of trouble thinking about whether or not there is a way to better contextualize my trajectory.
