Hurt my chances
I am currently a sophomore, and for this year's SA recruiting cycle, I was rejected by a top BB (GS/MS). I made it to the superday, but was unable to get an offer.
I wanted to know: when I go through the cycle again in the fall for junior year recruiting, will it hurt my chances at this BB to make it back to the Superday and get an offer? Or is it new year, clean slate?
Depends on many different factors- the people interviewing you, how much you have improved (resume wise and interview skills wise), the relative competition from other applicants, etc. Focus on what you can control, keep in contact with bankers you have made connections with, and try to be the best applicant you can be.
When the bank rejected me, they did say "we would like for you to stay in the process," but I just felt that is some BS HR line.
Getting to the superday for those banks as a sophomore is very impressive and should bode well for you in the future. There are very few soph SA spots and next year (assuming you get a solid internship this summer), you should have a better chance as there will be many more junior spots.

Currently, I don't have anything lined up, however, I am waiting to hear back from a VERY well-known place (not an IB)
I will spend the free time I have this summer preparing for interviews and perfecting my resume.
i was in your shoes at 2 of the BB's.. definitely doesn't hurt your chances. ESPECIALLY if you were a sophomore that isn't a minority or female. If that's the case, you're a shoe-in for next year. As long as you keep up your GPA and study technicals i would be super confident

still doesn't hurt your chances if you are a minority.. if you aren't you are an absolute lock. if you are, you still have a great chance and can be eligible for accelerated diversity superdays etc. Just keep in touch with who you met at superday, and try to get feedback etc. You still should have a good shot and getting far as a sophomore helps regardless of ethnicity
