Handful of target schools take up most of the 25-35 spots (UVA, UNC, Richmond, W&L, Duke, etc.), but still very possible to land without going to one of those. Recruitment happens during your junior year - most people network during the summer before. Networking is super important as there is only one round of interviews, so the process is much more focused than most. My interview was in November and was 30 mins. Feels like a first round interview. Largely behavioral with a few basic technical questions layered in.
Bootcamp takes place before SA internships start so you can have two offers in one summer. Two weeks long in their Richmond HQ. They put you up in a nice hotel and comp all your meals and travel expenses, along with a pretty solid stipend. The program is a mix of trainings, networking, and executing a project (basically working through and building out several components of an old HW deal). On the weekend they plan social events and there is a large event after the last day. Return offers go out a couple of weeks afterwards, majority of participants receive one.
Super fun program, you learn a ton, and come into your 10-week super well prepared and low-stress with an offer already in your back pocket. Happy to PM if you have any questions.
