I don’t want to do it anymore

I went to a target school in Canada, did several different internships in different fields in finance - asset management, private equity, and investment banking. I worked in investment banking before getting laid off and to be honest I don't know how motivated I am to get back into it. I don't think finance is for me, and I just don't see myself doing the best in it. I worked at a small boutique, I really enjoyed working on deals at first but found that I may not actually have the personality to do banking shortly after I left. I also feel like I'm not utilizing my skill sets that would allow me to be the best at what I do - to be honest I don't feel like I would be an exceptional banker, but an average one which makes me not want to do something I would be average in. I also don't enjoy working corporate, I'm not a fan of the politics, and don't have an interest in doing it. It’s just crazy because I put so much work getting into a good school, banking these internships, and then getting into IB feeling like I went into it for the wrong reasons.

Has anyone else here gone into banking and realized that it wasn't for them? Why didn't you like it and what did you do after?
