i hate people who work "part-time" in IB

I don't think you've earned the right to work less hours until at least VP level, but I see a lot of ANs and ASOs slack off especially in the post-COVID and "work-life balance" trend era.

The worst type of people are the kind who "optimize" effort to reward and barely put in 80 hours and still get middle bucket, I try to advocate for canning these slackers ASAP.

Even if you're prepping for on-cycle soon, a solid 115 hours at work plus 10-15 hours more prepping LBOs and researching PE firms still leaves you with like 5.5 hours of sleep daily after commute/shower/hygiene/changing, which is more than enough.
