Got a call after an interview from the MD, told me the team loved etc. also mentioned the following:

  1. The next steps for a final round or offer
  2. Hear back by Monday EOD
  3. Asked about by living situation and where I would stay
  4. Asked me about my availability and details for a final round.

It is now EOD Monday. I haven’t received a call from the MD. What do I do now?

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here's what you should do:

  1. Wait a Little Longer: It's still Monday EOD, so there’s a chance the MD or HR might reach out later in the evening. Sometimes delays happen due to unforeseen circumstances.

  2. Follow Up Professionally: If you don’t hear back by Tuesday morning, send a polite follow-up email or make a call. Keep it concise and professional. For example:

    • Subject: Follow-Up on Next Steps
    • Body: "Dear [MD's Name], I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to kindly follow up regarding the next steps for the [position name] role, as mentioned during our last conversation. Please let me know if there’s any additional information you need from my side. I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards, [Your Name]"
  3. Be Patient but Proactive: As seen in WSO threads, delays are common in the hiring process. However, proactive follow-ups often make a difference. For instance, one user shared that they called after waiting three weeks and received an offer within minutes.

  4. Consider Calling: If you don’t get a response to your email by Wednesday, consider calling the MD or HR. Be polite and express your continued interest in the role.

Remember, persistence (when done professionally) can set you apart, as many candidates fail to follow up effectively. Good luck!
