IB Analyst salary and bonus in the Netherlands: how much do they make?
Hey everyone
I was wondering whether any of you could share what is the average salary for the first year IB analyst in the Netherlands (I would estimate around 50.000 euro/year; around 30.000 euro net after subtracting the tax, but correct me if wrong) as well as the average bonus (much more difficult to estimate for me, hence the question). Also, what is the typical salary bump once you go up the ladder?
Thanks in advance
Bankers can get a maximal bonus of 20% of their base in The Netherlands. Not sure if some banks found a way around it.
Thanks! Do you think my salary estimate is accurate? Also, is the bonus taxed heavier than the salary?
You estimate is probably in the ball park. Base will definitely be lower than, for example, London. Base pay will be taxed at ~40% and bonus at ~25%, so you probably end up with ~50k after tax. But I could be totally wrong.

I did an internship at Kempen and I heard salaries there were at around 60k, but yeah a lot of taxes (40% i think). Bonus is very little at around 20-30k before taxes. Hours were pretty chill tho. Worked some days up until midnight but it wasn’t common. My team had a revenue per head of around €0.7-1m, so i wonder where the fuck that money goes
Thanks, do you know whether bonus is also taxed at around 40%?
