IB Analyst to Consulting

Current IB analyst, thinking about switching to consulting and would like to know more. Is a consulting gig easy to get out of IB? Does the switch require an MBA? For people who have done this, was your overall satisfaction with consulting much higher than IB? Any info on this would be much appreciated.

Thanks
