IB FT with no SA Experience?
I'm currently a junior interviewing for summer opportunities, but haven't had anything materialize in banking. I have to strong leads (one MD recommendation at MM firm, one founding partner at a smaller MM) but I'm unsure how these will pan out and anything else appearing before summer feels unlikely. I recently received a finance internship at a F500 biotech/sciences company, but it expires next Tuesday. I've emailed my contacts to ask for an expedited timeline, but if they can't provide that, I'm worried about the offer expiring and having nothing for the summer.
The F500 offer integrates well with my story (sciences minor, lab experience, gaining a better understand operations of the industry as a whole etc.) if I were to apply to Biotech focused IB, but my main question is: is it worth it to potentially turn down the offer and hope for the other two or something else if that falls through? Or could I recruit full-time in the fall with no banking experience?
Accept the offer, summer recruiting finished months ago
