IB —> NASA Exit? Looking for advice

Aspiring quants,

Currently a 2nd year analyst at a top-tier BB (MS, GS, JPM, Wells) but I’m thinking about my next move. Lately, and particularly after Artemis II, I’ve been seriously considering transitioning into being an astronaut. I figured I’d ask if anyone here has done a similar exit and can speak to comp, lifestyle, and WLB. I’ve always had a fascination with space since I first saw Interstellar, and I often find myself mentally masturbating to the idea of leaving the desk, and more importantly, the atmosphere. Would appreciate any advice.

First you need to start using Grok, later lick Elon's rocket, and you will secure your spot through personal connections

This is actually doable in theory…. But you need to leave IB to become an Naval/Air Force aviator or highly accomplished SOF officer first.
