IB vs. UMM/MM PE Exit Ops
How would you rank the exit opps for a middle market PE firm that offers analyst roles vs. a non GS/MS/JPM/ top group at BAML/Citi/Barclays BBIB gig? especially for PE, would it be harder to upgrade to a bigger fund, doesn’t necessarily have to be the top 10 mega funds.
Would take the MM fund if it is reputable.
Top group at BB - not easy to lateral up from a MM PE fund, whereas good groups at mid-tier BBs place into UMM/MF frequently
