They are not hot compared to women that work in fashion / marketing / advertising.

But... hotter then other girls in the bank (HR doesn't count). They seem to get hotter the more 0s they have in their salary too.

"They seem to get hotter the more 0s they have in their salary too."

Could it be the inner golddigger in you that makes you think that? lol Just kidding :)

I know a complete loser who is at Harvard; maybe he graduated. He's smart enough that he definitely deserves to be there, but has a rancid personality and no social skills. No one would question his self-evident intelligence but, obnoxiously, he uses being at Harvard as some sort of validation of his nonacademic side... of his "well-roundedness". (He's not well-rounded at all, in fact, and despite having gone there, hasn't figured out yet that Harvard's nonacademic admissions criteria are all hokey bullshit.) No one but him buys this line.

When I hear IBers speak of the social or physical attractiveness necessary to enter their business, these hogwash claims remind me of him.

I run into I-bankers every day; the women are slightly above average while the men are slightly below. Of course, there's a wide distribution even still.

I heard from someone that that it is quite common to find an I-Banker's wife cheat on her husband. Two reasons are

1) He is at work all the time and, thus, he is hardly able to devote any time to her.

2) Working all the time puts him totally out of shape and unattractive.

After reading the I-Banking horror stories, I won't be surprised if its true.
