If it is like a proper IBD off cycle in EMEA it will not be possible to do alongside your study, you will work to 2am constantly

It’s more of an SA program (10 weeks, the five first weeks being mostly training)and I also have 5 weeks of holidays, 2 weeks of uni without classes and 3 weeks with only few classes so let me know what you think ?

If you’re doing IBD hours then definitely not sustainable. I did a PE internship alongside studies and while some weeks it was manageable, once it got to like 40-50 hour work weeks when deals were active it was fucking brutal

Don’t understand why people are saying it is not possible...

Just be open to your team about your studies and request a day or two for pre-exam readings. You will most likely not work through all weekends; hence, you will also have plenty of time to catch up on Saturdays and Sundays.

For your background, I finished my last semester while working as an off-cycle in LDN and currently have a new off-cycle doing the same.

If you are smart and plan your days efficiently, you should be able to achieve good results at both the bank and uni.

Thanks indeed that’s what I was thinking. Especially considering that it makes me “miss” only 3 weeks of class which I don’t even have assignèrent or much seminars in... The interns told me that had these hours in the team: first 5 weeks 9am-7pm and then the 5 last weeks they had more like 8am-12pm. The firm and team are also aware about the fact that it’s during term time. Thanks for your answer!
