Ideal Mac Setup/Accessories for WFH (Summer Analyst)

Hey everyone, as someone with a macbook pro who's interning this summer but will have to use my own laptop with a VPN to connect to the firm network, what accessories and setup do you recommend for optimal performance? I know that windows laptops will fare better but I'm holding off on splurging on a new laptop as mine right now works great, but also recognize that vanilla might not be the best for PPT and excel.

While nothing can replace the shortcuts, any specific accessories that anyone recommends for using a mac for IB?

In my experience, you just need a mouse, keyboard, and monitor with a Mac. My office had us VPN into a computer in the office.

Going through this dilemma atm. Joining BB as analyst (GS/MS/JPM) and was told they will not provide laptop, but instead I have a virtual desktop that can be accessed via personal machine when wfh.

All I have is a m1 mac but is it better to get a windows machine? Given its a virtual windows desktop, if I use my mac, will all the shortcuts be windows shortcuts and therefore all I need is a keyboard to make this work as if I was in the office on a windows machine?

Can anyone advise?
