Ideas on Goldman MIDDLE OFFICE operations BONUS?
Hey guys so I just started up with Goldman on the 17th. Most of the people in operations are back office, but my group is in fact MIDDLE OFFICE Equity Derivatives. I'm an operations analyst in this group.
What kind of bonus will I be looking at this first year? Don't include prorated. Pretend as if I walked in on Jan 1st so math sakes.
$8,000 maybe? No one seems to know and I'm afraid to ask anyone in my group because they are all much older.
Thanks!
operations gets bonuses? that's news to me
Either you're being sarcastic or simply don't know the industry at all. Come on man even us ops analysts got a $10,000 signing bonus. I'll already be pulling 80k with overtime (60 hour weeks) so we make decent bank. Every hour over 40 is OT premium.
Isn't OT at BBs half of your pro-rated hourly wage? Sounds more like a discount OT.
Correct, it's about $15 an hour x 20 per week x 52 ADDS UP. Throw that on top of the 65k I am already getting not including bonus. I easily clear 80k
I had no idea ops got bonuses either. News to me.
a bonus and overtime does not equal the same thing
honestly esp in this market i cannot see ops getting more than 0-5k bonus
You're right. Found out today. We are getting 5k. I spoke with a second year and he said he got 15k last year.
How do you know your bonus 2 weeks after starting?
