Incoming PCA SA Looking for Summer Tips

Hey guys,

I’m a junior and will be doing SA at a top PCA firm this summer. Will be engaged with GP-led. Very passionate about the space, but have no clue about how the day-to-day of an intern will look like compared to traditional IB coverage groups.

I’m generally not good at building Excel models - know the gists of DCF & LBOs, but have rare experience in doing them with Excel. Also know how the secondaries deal work, but haven’t done any modeling before. Not sure what the FTs at PCA would expect in terms of modeling or slides skills. As the SA program would start soon, I wonder if there’s anything I can prep as of right now.

Would appreciate any suggestions and tips - general, technical, communications, etc.
