Incoming SA 2025 at MM-IB interested in FT 2026

Hey, so Im a junior at a target going to a solid MM bank this summer. I love the firm and the people I've talked to there, but im just curious about the timeline for FT 2026 recruiting as Im entering the summer. Obviously I know the priority is the secure the return offer no matter what, but I'd like to know what my lanes are for full time recruiting to an EB/BB in NYC are like.

What kind of timeline should I be expecting for the next year? Should I begin networking early into the summer? how can i even sustain that during my internship? And what kinds of firms will even have openings for ft?

Also on the same boat. FT starts interviewing in August. Need extensive networking before then or you won't get an interview.

when ru planning on starting networking? during summer/before/with people talked to during SA recruiting? not sure how to navigate this during the internship - also how ru planning on finding which firms even have openings
