Increased Recruiting at Associate+ Levels

This might be completely anecdotal and limited to only my small perspective of the world; however, through my LinkedIn recruiter connections, recruiter email blasts, job boards etc., there seems to be an uptick in IB recruiting but only for the Associate level and higher (but primarily at the Associate level).

This seemed like an interesting trend and I'm interested to hear if others have seen the same. Wondering if this is a function of the white hot new analyst/lateral market of 2021/early 2022 coupled with the LTM deal slowdown where there is now a surplus of green analysts without the requisite deal experience to make useful Associates so firms have to look elsewhere?

Might be completely off base here and just noticing a random trend and calling it correlation, but curious to hear from others on this.
