Interesting Networking Questions

Hey guys,

I’ve recently gotten the chance to attend a great networking/recruitment event coming up in the next few months (specifically for capital markets.) Im really excited because i’m from a reaaally non target school and these kind of events are almost unheard of in my school (the event isn’t even at my school)

I want to make sure I take the most advantage out of this opportunity, which leads me to my question. While I have been to networking events and have had good conversations, I think it would be tremendously helpful to know-

From the professionals who’ve attended networking events: What are some conversation starters/ questions you have been asked which have struck up great conversations, or you simply enjoyed talking about/answering. Similarly, have any students here who’ve attended networking events asked certain questions which have been well received?

Anything would be helpful, it would be really appreciated if anyone could share some of their stories as I want to make as many conversations I have, as interesting and genuinely enjoyable as possible rather than the “So... whats it like at _____”

Thank you!
