Internship Dos and Don'ts

Hi everyone,

I just signed a 6-month internship offer with a small IB boutique in Europe. I was wondering if more experienced users could share their thoughts on how to be classified as a top performer. So the typical mistakes and things to look for, how to position myself and any other advice that comes to mind useful for an intern looking to get a full time offer.

Also, the internship starts in 2 months. What should I do in the meantime? Practice modeling? Read corp finance books or something else entirely?

Thanks!
