Internship vs New Grad Competitiveness
Which is more competitive: Internships or New Grad roles? I'm currently a junior with the option to do a fifth-year master's program, wondering if I should take it and apply for internships or immediately apply for New Grad positions.
FT - you're competing for 5-10% of the spots. Most banks have high internship offer rates so they may have 1 spot and do a 10 person superday.
Internship roles fill during Feb/March of sophomore year, so even if you started for SA 2025 you'd be a bit late assuming you haven't networked at all
