Interview Question

I got a recent Hirevue question for Goldman saying “Tell us about something you are passionate about and what are you doing to increase your knowledge on the subject?”

Can someone tell me if they are looking for a work related passion or if it can be a general one like a hobby?

In my opinion it’s a good opportunity to share something unique about yourself other than wanting to do finance

Would just choose anything you are really passionate about honestly. So long as you can speak intelligently about it. If you don't have any interesting side hobbies that you can speak to, would do more work related.

Obviously I wouldn't choose video games, unless you play competitively and can really wow them with some sort of strategy explanation. I think they just want to see how you approach things.
