Intrinsic valuation ?

To get to your intrinsic valuation do you need to do a DCF? Or can it be done using comps?

E.g for an EV/EBITDA multiple show your intrinsic valuation or would that be different

Comps & precedents show you a companies relative valuation. DCF and LBO analysis show you the intrinsic valuation.
