Investment banking - LMM Boutique VP to EB Associate?
Recognizing that it's hard to make a lateral move in general, would dropping down a level be something advisable as a way to move upmarket?
IB is a second career for me and was able to break in by coming in below my experience level and "proving myself" and was quickly promoted. I'm wondering if it might be a good idea to do it again, but I'm curious if I can expect a similar type of meritocratic progression once I get up to speed on larger deals or are the EBs are going to be on more of a "clock"/time requirement.
