Investment Banking Summer SA Background Check

So basically I am going through a background check of my junior SA.  I put down "incoming investment banking summer analyst at Bank A" when I was applying for the position last year but I ended up not going because of some family emergencies and internship timeline stuffs in April and I got my junior SA offer in March (so the resume for application is not updated). Therefore, I had to turn down my Bank A sophomore summer offer. Last summer, I found Bank B's internship very last minute and interned there instead. Now the background check company is doing background check based on my original application, and asking for contact information for Bank A to verify. What should I do and will I pass the background check?

Explain the situation.

I'm assuming that your current offer wasn't contingent on whether you did your upcoming summer internship or not.
