How does investment banking compare to equity research? ER gets a lot of shit. Is it deserved?
If you were to compare top ER offers to IB what would it look like? For example MS ER is comparable to what banking offer? Are we talking still top IB offer like good EB like Laz or Moe, or are we talking Piper / William Blair? Or God forbid SMBC / KeyBanc?
