maybe smtg like 1 standard deviation above the pop avg since all bankers have college degrees and it's undisputed that people with at least a bachelor's degree are higher compared to those without lol.

Probably 120-130 on average, with some that are much higher. As someone said above, almost every banker has a college degree, which by itself is not indicative of high IQ, but it puts a floor on things. Then take into account that most bankers come from a top 30 university or top 10 LAC, requiring relatively high standardized tests scores, and add high GPAs on top of that, then you get IQs that are well above average.

Some math here, playing with stats around GMAT scores and IQ.

Given that most ibankers either went to a top MBA requiring in most cases 700+ GMAT and/or went to a top undergrad and good academic performance, I’d say that probably bankers have around ~120-130 of IQ on average.

That’s probably consistent with an IQ test I took when I was a teenager where I got something like 130 (and I feel much dumber today).

pfft, all that is for the opportunity to work 0 hours a week in your 60s and beyond. Take a longer term view
