Is HR always like this?
No onboarding orientation (not even virtual) and I feel like HR doesn’t care for new employees...I gotta ask for info instead of them giving me info...is this due to high turnover rate in IB? Or depending on company? Or is it bc I work for boutique not BB? Company i worked before had onboarding process for two weeks and hr was organized and courteous to new employees. What do you guys think?
This. Do you expect a boutique to have as solid of a HR team.
I now work at a solid EB, but I started my career at a bucket shop no-name boutique. Our HR team was composed of one woman with no HR experience who was a family member of the CEO.
Lots of huge EBs have famously crap onboarding for laterals. Where you do you think those few extra bucks per paycheck come from?
