is it okay to ask HR about switching offices / location after accepting offer?
Accepted an entry-level analyst offer in a tier 2/3 location a couple months back and was wondering whether it would be appropriate to ask HR if they have availability in other offices/locations for the position.
Would that be okay to ask HR about or would they perceive that negatively?

I would absolutely not do this. you're risking your offer being pulled if they tell the local team, and this late in the game it'd be highly unlikely they still have spots for a summer start. If you want to move locations firms generally let you do so at 1 year.
Why not?
I worked in the energy coverage group in NYC but would prefer to stay in Houston.
The role is 100% the same irrespective of location.
NYC -> Houston is a very different move, you're swimming against the tide as many are trying to go the other direction. This person sounds like they are in Houston (or comparable tier 2/3 city) and wants to be in NYC or another "better" city
If you're in Houston you know how people in those groups feel about interns accepting the role just to try and swap to FT in NYC, it's seen as a Judas move and is a real concern in recruiting there. I've seen offers get pulled because they feel someone is trying to make that switch.
Sure. I would also ask for a higher base and a guaranteed bonus. And a company car.
What about switching after SA for FT?
