is it okay to ask HR about switching offices / location after accepting offer?

Accepted an entry-level analyst offer in a tier 2/3 location a couple months back and was wondering whether it would be appropriate to ask HR if they have availability in other offices/locations for the position.

Would that be okay to ask HR about or would they perceive that negatively?

NYC -> Houston is a very different move, you're swimming against the tide as many are trying to go the other direction. This person sounds like they are in Houston (or comparable tier 2/3 city) and wants to be in NYC or another "better" city

If you're in Houston you know how people in those groups feel about interns accepting the role just to try and swap to FT in NYC, it's seen as a Judas move and is a real concern in recruiting there. I've seen offers get pulled because they feel someone is trying to make that switch.
