Is It Really Worth It

Guys - First let me start, I'm no wuss.

I threw my bonus in betting heavy on SPACs and high growth stocks, have been active (at least reading) on Wall Street Bets, and let Daddy Musk take me to Mars.

But maybe its time to give up on Robinhood and the careless bets associated with it. Start working to do good and promote financial discipline. Employ the knowledge you learned taking the 63 and 79 (and SIE new analysts and associates) to promote good financial discipline. I encourage you to join me.

If your in the camp of nah F that. I encourage you to read the last note Alex Kearns' (the boy who tragically died due to confusion and an inability to get in contact with a registered rep at Robinhood) last note, it was released in court filings yesterday (Feb 8).

WARNING: PLEASE ONLY READ PAST THIS POINT AT YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING

"If you’re reading this, I am dead. How was a 20 year old with no income able to get assigned almost a million dollars’ worth of leverage? The puts I bought/sold should have cancelled out, too, but I also have no clue what I was doing now in hindsight. There was no intention to be assigned this much and take this much risk, and I only thought that I was risking the money that I actually owned. If you check the app, the margin investing option isn’t even ‘turned on’ for me. A painful lesson. Fuck Robinhood. I was starting to look forward to my future, too, before I hit this pretty large speed bump. I cannot imagine the amount of pain this has caused you. Please understand that this decision was not made lightly. You could fill an ocean With the amount of tears I’ve shed typing this. Please, please take care of yourselves. The amount of my guilt I feel as I commit to this is unbearable — I did not want to die.”
