Is it worth transferring from a non-target during or after sophomore year?

tldr; should i transfer during/after sophomore year to a target from a non-target? I want your advice because ib recruitment is fucked so I might be doing more bad by transferring.

I go to a non-target but it's a huge school, and I know some people who've gone to bulge brackets, but I know I'm still at a disadvantage. Would it be worth it to transfer after sophomore year or even during my sophomore year to a target? Specifically for investment banking. I could not transfer after this year because reasons. Also, if I do transfer during/after sophomore year I would probably need to overload, if not overload then have a full schedule every semester, in order to complete my degree on time. I fear junior year might be too late to build connections, especially since ib recruiting is so fucking crazy.

My other option is to just stay put, get a high gpa, and network. I've been attending events from a lot of non ib firms (mostly big4 firms) on handshake, and I have been talking to the people who work there, but there's honestly not that many ib events I can find on handshake. I feel like what I'm doing now is good for the future, but it'll be hard because I'm shy and I don't have much to say at times, so I feel networking will be hard. And of course, I go to a non-target.

I don't particularly want to transfer, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. But once again, transferring after sophomore year seems way too late and whatever connections I've built up to that point will be wasted? (If i base my network on people from my school, will they help me if I transfer out, if it was me I wouldn't because I'd be offended.) Also, I'm pretty sure my gpa will be bad because the classes I'm taking now are liberal arts classes (plz don't ask why), but I'm still doing a finance degree and maybe minoring in comp sci (might not because its like 24 more credits).

Any advice would be appreciated!
