I'm not very optimistic about the future of real estate and there have been defaults in all industries. From the collateral perspective, would IB ABS groups be impacted? I know lots of banks have large teams for ABS but are they safe or even stable? Just thinking about bonuses and layoffs.

ABS is actually very strong during times like this with high interest rates. Deal flow has been very strong in the US, It is a very stable career I'd say, of course, as far as IB roles go.
