No. They’re a solid middle market advisory shop, similar to good teams at RJ or Piper. i work across from them sometimes and have multiple friends from there who exited. Long hours and not good pay historically from what I’ve heard but culture is fine for banking standards and you do get good M&A exposure. I would take Baird / WB / HL over Solomon for the better brand name, although analyst experience / learning is likely similar

 

How is Solomon doing in 2026? Any updated views on culture, deal flow, exits, hours? 

 

it’s a good bank, but most ppl just think of ebs as cvp/moe/laz/evr/pjt. tbh tho what ppl call it doesn’t matter too much
